Ghana Property Awards Introduces ‘Best District Council 2025 – Ghana’ Category to Inspire Local Governance Excellence

A transformative addition to its 17th edition: the ‘Best District Council 2025 – Ghana’ category. This newly introduced honour is designed to promote progressive leadership and foster competition among district councils across the country, with a vision to enhance local development, attract investment, and create sustainable communities.

The objective behind this category is to reward district assemblies that are excelling in five critical areas: revenue mobilization, investment attraction, job creation, agribusiness innovation, and green space development. The award will serve as a national benchmark for local governance excellence, showcasing districts that are proactive, innovative, and committed to community transformation.

One of the central pillars of the evaluation will be revenue mobilization. Districts that demonstrate creative strategies in generating and managing their internally generated funds (IGFs) to support infrastructure, social amenities, and local economic activities will be considered frontrunners.
