Ghana Property Awards 2026: District Assemblies and MMDCEs Urged to Participate in Celebrating Local Development
As preparations heighten for the Ghana Property Awards 2025, district assemblies across the country have been encouraged to actively participate in this year’s edition, which places renewed focus on local-level transformation and infrastructure development. The theme for this year, “Celebrating Excellence in Efficient Land Banking for National Prosperity,” reflects the crucial role districts and Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) play in Ghana’s property growth agenda.
In a strategic shift to deepen the relevance of the awards beyond the private sector, the organisers,the ( GAPOA) PE Group have introduced a dedicated District Development Forum as part of the event. This platform is designed to highlight success stories, facilitate knowledge sharing, and showcase innovative governance in land use planning, infrastructure delivery, and housing development at the district level.
Participating MMDCEs and district assemblies stand to benefit in several ways. The awards provide national visibility for districts leading in sustainable planning, public-private partnerships, land banking, and spatial development. It also opens networking opportunities with investors, developers, and key state agencies committed to regional growth. More importantly, it creates a bench marking platform for other assemblies to emulate effective development strategies.
